The milestone I’ve been waiting for has finally arrived, the semi-build of my project cafe racer is officially done. The biggest change today was swapping out the old tires for a pair of beefy, bulky ones that perfectly match the classic, aggressive stance of a cafe racer. Seeing that aggressive rubber on the rims completely transformed the look of the bike and tied the whole concept together.
Aside from the aesthetic upgrades, we also spent a lot of time diving into the heart of the machine. The engine had a few mechanical issues that were holding it back, so we got our hands dirty, diagnosed the problems, and finally got everything repaired and tuned up properly.
Now, the bike runs incredibly smooth, and taking it out for a spin feels better than ever. While I’m celebrating this huge win, I know this is only a pit stop. My next ultimate goal is to go all the way and push this machine into a full-on custom build.
